ABOUT

"I WAS  TERRIFIED OF GOING INTO THE STATION AND NOT FINDING  A KIND SOUL TO GIVE ME A HAND WITH THE BUGGY."

THE PROJECT

Step Up Willesden Green is a local campaign aiming to make Willesden Green Station step-free and accessible for those with reduced mobility, parents with young kids, tourists and elderly.

Willesden Green Station is located in the proximity of residential areas and right next to the High Street providing access to the local businesses and places of worship. The station is situated in zone 2/3 and it becomes very busy during the morning and weekends with 8.8 million journeys made every year.

This campaign urges the Mayor of London and TFL to prioritise and include Willesden Green Station in their £200m business plan that is aiming to make 40% of the London network step-free. Step Up Willesden Green asks the Mayor of London and Brent Council a further effort to explore and find funding for the project.
